I feel like the second week of January is where resolutions come to an end and normal life resumes, the christmas chocolate is finally eaten up, everyone is returning to university and work and everyone starts to get their routines back. Personally I love having a solid daily routine and being able to just get on with achieving goals and working towards deadlines, but because I completed last terms modules in December and my lectures don’t start up until the last week of January I decided to stay at home with my family for a little longer and spend a couple of week working with the company I interned for in the summer. It’s been so nice this last week to catch up with my colleagues and have everything settle again after christmas. I’m hoping to do these “on my radar” catch up style posts a couple of times a month, to check in with what I’m doing and share some of my latest finds.

Ok so last weekend I was searching for something to have on in the background whilst doing some dissertation writing and I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to watch it. Jenna Coleman is absolute perfection, I completely fell in love with her as Victoria, if you love Downton Abbey I would highly recommend Victoria OR The Crown on Netlfix as I’ve just started watching that and also loving it.

Ok so the idea of graduating in 6 months only terrifies my slightly (all lies – its very daunting right now) but I’ve been working with Headhunters, a new kind of graudate job site, and things a looking a little more achievable now. They host hundreds of vacancies from some of the UK’s top graduate employers, you sign up for their newsletter and simply tell them what kind of jobs you’re looking for – don’t be afraid to get specific – and they’ll deliver a weekly newletter straight to your inbox with jobs catered especially for you. Perfect right?

Sign up now and get a head start on your graduate employment.

Look at how cute these jumpers are, I love any kind of tailored knitwear in the winter but these bows on the arms give such a feminine look and they’re so affordable. Paired with some superga trainers and some tailored trousers and you’ve got the perfect look for any winter day at the office, smart, right on trend and most importantly WARM!

With the inaugration coming up and the Obamas leaving the white house (cry) this poinant letter from the Bush daughters to Sacha and Malia was perfect timing, I think it’s such a repsectful nod to their last years of being the first daughters and supporting their parents in what was already a tricky time in their lives. Would I have wanted the worlds eyes on me during my early teens? Absolutely not. But the Obama girls have always handled themselves in such grace and this was a lovely way for that to be respected.

It seems La La Land is all anyone is talking about right now and I for one am no different, I cannot wait to skip down to the cinema for 2 hours of golden hollywood musical joy. Isn’t that just what January needs? However Emma Stone at the Golden Globes is a thing of beauty, her baby pink silver star embellished Valentino gown was

on the red carpet. A nod to the old school Hollywood Glamour of La La Land but keeping it very current and very her with a deep plunging neckline.

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a good weekend!

Xoxo LER
