I could not be more excited for Spring to finally be here! Brighter, longer days and finally there’s no need for huge wool coats and gloves. With the change of season I also like to change up my makeup look, I’m never overly fussed with keeping up with catwalk trends however there’s a couple that are just so wearable I can’t help but give them a go. Wanted to share some of my favourite spring makeup hacks to instantly update your look. Whether it be day or night I think anyone can pull these looks off.
Making a comeback is everything 60’s, the hair, the makeup. Think Lana Del Ray and you’re there. I’m loving big backcombed curls with a cupids bow lip and an accentuated crease, for those of us who aren’t pro’s with the liquid liner it’s so easy to just throw on a champagne shadow like Kitten from Stila, and then take a darker matte brown or black, I love using Tease from the Naked 2 palette and then just blend blend blend. I find the easiest way to create this look is to take an eyeliner brush and wet it slightly and then apply the matte crease shade wet instead of dry, it’s easier to handle the pigmentation is darker and you’re able to get that slick finish with a lot less effort. Top this eyeshadow with lashings of mascara and then move on to lips and base. The 60’s look was very flawless high coverage makeup so I reach for my Estee Lauder Double Wear makeup, with a cool toned contour like Benefit Hoola and no blush. To finish this look I add a neutral lip, like Clinique Nude Pop Lipstick, keeping it very natural looking, like enhancing my cupids bow and keeping any gloss to a minimum.
So that’s it! As easy as that you can recreate this seasons runway looks everyday. I hope you found that helpful and stay tuned for more content coming your way!
