Recently in the blogosphere I’ve loved reading everyone’s Christmas posts about what they got up and as nosy as it may be reading what everyone received under the tree. I did one of these posts last year and got some great feedback so thought I’d do the same this year, picking some of my most special gifts to share.
My parents bought me the nicest selection of gifts, the main one being an Ipad Mini! Something I’d spoken to them about months ago but never expected to unwrap, I have been using my Dad’s old ipad for uni and finding it so handy to take notes on and great for reading. I’m very excited to be starting the new term with my gorgeous Ipad! I have the IPad Mini 4 in Gold and I’m completely obsessed, the colour matches my phone and I could not be happier! I’d love to do a complete “what’s on my Ipad” post soon so if you’re a techy girl like me then stay tuned for that.
When I’m at uni I love cooking and being in the kitchen and one of my resolutions for 2016 is to cook more and eat better. To help me with this I got a slow cooker and a nutri bullet blender! The slow cooker is going to be perfect for setting something off before I go to work or uni for the day and then I can come home to dinner ready and waiting! I can’t wait. As for the blender, if you’re someone who struggles to get all your necessary fruits and veggies into your diet then this is a great solution for that. I’m looking forward to making some delicious smoothies and juices in the new year.
With my upcoming trip to California speeding round the corner I know I am going to need some new trainers for all that walking! I put these incredible silver Supergas on my wishlist and I am so so so happy with them. Super comfy, subtly different to anything else I own I’m loving finding outfits to pair with these.
From my sister I received the most adorable sausage dog slippers that I can’t take off, but I also got the MADE by Millie Macintosh book! Which has loads of ideas for healthy recipes and great workout moves as well as tips and stories from Millie about how she’s developed her personal style. I love collecting books like this because they’re not something you read cover to cover but they’re great for flicking through every now and then for inspiration.
Being the product addict that I am my loved ones spoiled me with some gorgeous new makeup and skincare, a couple of my favourites being the MAC eyebrow pencil in “Fling”, the Rodial Facial Scrub which is full of active ingredients one being salicylic acid which is fantastic on acne prone skin like mine. My grandparents treated me to the Vichy Idealia Life serum which I spoke about earlier in the year and LOVED. It’s specifically formulated for city skin and is great at combating dullness caused by pollution. Living in a city during term time I feel like this is something my skin is craving. From my gorgeous bestie I received this Accessorize nail polish wardrobe! I was so excited to receive this because I’d literally just been saying to her that I was suffering with a lack of glitter top coats and winter colours and she was thoughtful enough to go and find me the most perfect solution.
The last thing is something super practical but I was so excited to unwrap this because I really needed one and since mine broke I have seriously missed it! It’s an electric toothbrush. It’s from the brand Oral B and it’s a perfect girly pink.
So that wraps up my what I got for Christmas post for another year! I’m so amazingly thankful to all my family for making this such a brilliant Christmas!I hope everyone had a good Christmas too and that you’re all looking forward to the new year!
