With the summer almost over its fair to say my hair is in need of some TLC. The mixture of heat, humidity and pollution has done me no favors. I try and get my hair cut twice a year and then use high moisture products to keep it look healthy. However this summer my routine has been somewhat simplified on account of the fact I have barely any free time and I’m not about to spend that on my hair. However all is not lost, I’ve come across some miracle products that have really saved my locks.

 Lush BIG

The shampoo that takes my hair to new heights, literally. Infused with raw sea salt, this is a gritty shampoo that’s deeply clarifying and gives loads of light volume at the root. Having long and thick hair I find it quite hard to find products that give lasting volume without weighing my hair down. This shampoo has changed that, although it’s quite pricey. For this tub it’s £13 but I only bring it out for special occasions and true pamper days, and for that it’s worth it. I was very put off at first by the texture, it’s not a gel and that was concerning because I like a thorough clean. All my concerns were completely unneeded. The best shampoo I’ve ever used and will continue to use.

Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Mask

Another life changing product, this is an intended to be a mask, however I use this as an everyday hair conditioner and it changed my hair completely. My hair can be very greasy at the root and dry ends, so applying this to my ends keeps them nourished and I’ve lasted a lot longer between haircuts, which is great for my hair. Smells heavenly, I’m on my second tub and will no doubt have my third, fourth and fifth.

Schwarzkopf Got 2 Be “All Star”

As I explained previously because my hair is so thick I struggle to maintain volume, so I like to keep my styling products to a minimum to avoid weighing my hair down. This is a 10-in-1 miracle product, it sorts frizz, adds shine and keeps hair well nourished, as the bottle says there’s obviously a lot of other benefits come with it too, but those are the main differences I noticed. A medium weight cream with an un-offensive smell that doesn’t linger.

Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush

As you probably know by now I’m working in London at the minute and that requires a lot of travel. Busy days equal me being a tired little blogger a lot of the time so spending an hour doing my hair every night is just not a good way to spend my energy. That’s where this comes in, I apply this in the morning to my roots *liberally* and then pull my hair back and do my makeup whilst it’s soaking up the oils. Then I run a brush through it and I’ve got wonderfully fresh hair making my blow dry last that little bit longer. I personally like the blush scent best, the scent doesn’t last but it smells fresh and clean and from a dry shampoo that’s all I can ask for.

Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray

Declared as a dupe for the Oribe Dry Texture spray, this for me is a little luxury. Although it doesn’t have the matching price tag it just feels and smells gorgeous. I spray this over my curls once they’re done and it holds them for days and adds that fashionably messy look that is just to die for, always as creating and maintaining fabulous sky high volume. I’ve only been using this for a couple months but it will continue to be a hair care staple.

Any product recommendations? I want to hear them!
